What you are agreeing to
web.camera is a free tool operated by INTERNET USLUGE, vl. Mato Tominac (see the legal notice). There is no account, no subscription and nothing to pay. By using the site you accept these terms; if you do not, simply do not use it.
Acceptable use
Use the tools for their purpose: testing your own camera and microphone. Do not submit automated or bulk ratings, do not attempt to skew the scores of any camera model, do not submit unlawful, defamatory or offensive text, and do not attempt to disrupt or probe the service. We rate-limit submissions and may block abusive traffic.
Your ratings and reviews
You keep ownership of anything you submit. By submitting a rating you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish it, aggregate it into statistics, and translate it, as part of the public camera database — including after you stop using the site. You confirm the rating reflects your own genuine measurement and that any text you write is yours to submit.
Moderation
Ratings enter a moderation queue. Text reviews are approved by a human; text-free ratings for known models may be approved automatically. We may reject, edit for length, or remove any submission at our discretion and without notice — typically for spam, abuse or obvious nonsense. To have your own rating deleted, send its submission ID via the contact page.
No warranty on measurements
The measured resolution, frame rate and light values describe what your browser negotiated with your hardware at that moment, under your conditions. They depend on your drivers, operating system, browser, USB bandwidth and lighting, and they will vary. The database medians are a guide, not a guarantee — do not treat them as a promise of how a camera will perform for you. The site is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind.
Advertising and affiliate links
Some outbound links to retailers may be affiliate links, which earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. These are labelled where they appear. They never influence measurements, scores, rankings or moderation decisions — the data is generated by the tool, not by us.
Liability, changes and governing law
To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site, including purchasing decisions made on the basis of published data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. We may change these terms; the current version always lives at this address. These terms are governed by Croatian law, with the courts of Croatia having jurisdiction — this does not deprive you of the mandatory consumer protections of the country in which you reside.
